As projects became more individual, our role expanded to connect those manufacturing realities with the design intent of each space.
Today, Maison Foncen works across design development, engineering coordination, material review, production, full-scale pre-installation and delivery support.
We do not begin with a fixed catalogue. We begin with the architecture and develop the lighting from there.

Custom lighting projects succeed when design intent, technical requirements and production realities are aligned from the beginning.
My role is to understand what matters to each client and keep communication clear throughout the project—from the first brief through development, production, inspection and delivery.
Our role is not simply to supply a fixture. It is to help turn an architectural lighting idea into something that can be responsibly engineered, carefully made and successfully installed.

WHO WE WORK WITH
Tailored lighting for foyers, staircases, dining rooms, living spaces and double-height interiors. We work with private clients and design professionals to develop lighting that feels considered, personal and appropriate to the architecture.
Large-scale lighting for hotel lobbies, reception areas, restaurants, ballrooms and public interiors. We support project teams in coordinating visual impact with structure, production, installation and delivery requirements.
HOW WE COLLABORATE
Every project begins with a different level of information. Some clients have complete drawings, while others begin with dimensions, references and an architectural direction. Our process is structured to create clarity step by step.
We review the project type, dimensions, drawings, installation conditions and intended atmosphere.
We coordinate form, proportion, materials, finishes, suspension and the relationship between the fixture and the architecture.
Once the direction is confirmed, the project moves through technical development, production, inspection, pre-installation and delivery preparation.
