Paris hotel lobby with two interlocking crystal-rod elliptical light rings

Project Introduction

The Vision

Two interlocking elliptical rings of fluted crystal rods bring fluid geometry to a Parisian hotel lobby, framing the curved reception desk with warmth, transparency and a distinctive sense of arrival.

Maison Lumière is conceived around the dialogue between two imperfect ellipses. Their interlocking paths create a suspended gesture that feels composed from the entrance yet changes continuously as guests move around the curved reception area.

Closely spaced fluted crystal rods soften the perimeter of each ring and catch warm light in fine vertical lines. Pale antique-gold frames keep the structure tailored and understated against the lobby’s ivory architectural surfaces.

Architecture / 01

The Space

Curved plaster, pale stone and a sculpted reception desk give the lobby a calm Parisian contemporary character. The lighting concept responds with geometry that is formal enough to mark arrival while remaining open, transparent and visually light.

Illumination / 02

Light in Architecture

The rings are positioned on offset axes to follow circulation between the entrance, desk and lounge. Their layered glow defines the reception zone from multiple viewpoints and adds depth to the ceiling without relying on a single symmetrical centre.
